Kim Chen, MSW, LCSW
Kim has over 30 years of experience as a social worker serving diverse, vulnerable populations and empowering clients to transform themselves. She believes in meeting clients where they are; assessing them as part of their larger, dynamic systems; and treating the whole person. She derives particular reward from working with clients struggling with traumatic issues, working with neurodiverse clients, and being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.
In addition to providing therapy services, Kim also works as a Behavior Consultant with individuals who have intellectual disabilities in the Medicaid Waiver system and she is a Certified Autism Specialist. She has completed Critical Incident Stress Management training and EMDR advanced training: Healing the Hidden Wounds to prepare to participate on Northeast Indiana's Critical Incident Stress Management team providing mental health support to first responders following critical incidents.
Kim has received her certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. In addition, she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Practice, and other modalities.

About Me
I've been married to my exact opposite since 1998 and we have two children. My family loves to travel, SCUBA dive, downhill ski, sit on the beach, and play poker together. I pride myself on being culturally sensitive, person-centered, and strength based. I am humbled and honored by your willingness to share your healing journey with me.
